The journey of Amal Fellowship

The journey of Amal family started in July 2017 at Punjab University New Campus. At the start, we were around 59 fellows in the batch. I belong to 39 batch. I remember the first day when we did not know anyone by name and it seems really difficult to know each other in just 3 month period when we meet just in 2 days during the whole week. In the initial sessions of this fellowship my instructor conducted an activity of remembering names which helped me to know my batch fellows by his/her name. Throughout this fellowship we did many physical activities as well along with traditional learning practices. This fellowship played a very important role in my personal, professional, emotional and mental development.

My batch fellows were very cooperative and helpful throughout this journey. I did work with all fellows in different kind of tasks in the session or out of the session. I am so blessed that I met with these beautiful people in my life through Amal Academy.

At the start of this fellowship we normally went to the session, attend lectures and went to the home. Then the program associate of my batch invited her batch fellow of Amal fellowship as a guest in one session who shared his Amal fellowship experience. He told us how he and his batch fellows did fun after the sessions and arranged gatherings during the fellowship period. After hearing his experiences my batch fellows (Rashid, Ali Malik, Basit) planned first get together. They collected some money from all of us to make arrangements for the party in the next session. In the next session which was on Sunday they went to the market after the session and bought cake, chips, samosas, drinks and other things and arranged these things in the ground on the table. It was a lovely day. I enjoyed a lot in this gathering and it helped me to know my fellows better outside of the routine sessions. At that day I also realized that it is very important to do some fun besides work which helps to enhance our productivity and learning ability.
